Seattle Children’s Theatre

50th Anniversary

I had the privilege of working with Seattle Children’s Theatre’s (SCT) on their 50th Anniversary campaign, an initiative launched through Success Cohorts and spearheaded by co-founder Betti Fujikado. The program paired seasoned marketing professionals (creative directors, writers, designers, and strategists) with a cohort of emerging creatives, giving them opportunities to shadow client intake and debrief sessions, join weekly Zoom workshops, and build their portfolios through hands-on experience.

Once the first phase wrapped, landing on the theme “Good Humans Made Here”, I was invited to continue working directly with SCT to further develop and define the visual look and feel for their 50th Season marketing materials and finding creative ways to apply the theme. Partnering with Betti, who managed the project, and my colleague Ben Irwin, who authored the manifesto, PSA script, show headlines, and overall brand voice, I focused on shaping the campaign’s design direction. Together, we created a cohesive system that tied SCT’s celebratory spirit to its season-long storytelling.

The final phase of this campaign also involved close collaboration with external partners and agencies handling PR, photography, videography, and paid media—ensuring every piece of the campaign aligned seamlessly across platforms. The result was a robust, multi-channel anniversary celebration that honored SCT’s 50-year legacy while engaging new audiences for the seasons ahead.
